A great news from "Millésime Bio", Montpellier's Organic Wine Fair. Our wines are growing, are getting better and are more and more appreciated by Experts and Guides. In the tasting notes of the 2015 edition of Francois Gilbert and Philippe Gaillard's French guide “The world wine signature” – dedicated to Italy – our 2009 Satèn has been awarded the score of 89/100, which surpasses the 86/100 score of 2014. It is worth noting that only 12 Franciacorta labels have been awarded a higher score. Even more worth noting is the fact that Francois Gilbert himself has popped by our stand to meet and award us in person.
From May to October 2015 Franciacorta will be the Official Sparkling Wine of Expo Milano 2015. The entire Franciacorta Region - including us at CorteBianca - is preparing to welcome wine aficionados and experts in a journey of discovery of our sparkling wine and our land.
Franciacorta will be the star of any official event - and not only that. A series of events will be organized to make sure the Expo visitors will discover our wines and our territory. The Franciacorta Consortium main objective is in fact to incentivate tourism, promoting a land rich in History, traditions and food and wine excellences.
CorteBianca took part in the Glad Mat culinary festival in the frame of the Stavanger port. The renown festival presents the new trends in Norway cuisine, while the attendees taste, eat, and have fun.
Two the main stops, organized with our partner Terroir Wines: CorteBianca - with its Franciacorta wines - is in the small and posh island of Brimse, taking part to a homage to the genius Ingrid Espelid Hovig, the most famous chef of Norway, who celebrated her 90s birthday with a book of…90 recipes! At the same time in the Stavanger port where the feast is going on and on, CorteBianca is in the Tango restaurant – the coolest in town, stage of the creative cuisine of Kjartans Skjelde, emerging chef and judge of the Norway edition of MasterChef. Here CorteBianca is served throughout the entire dinner to match the dishes based on the fish, herbs and flowers of the cold northern seas.

Giorgio Melandri, reputed journalist and Gourmet, and one of the curators of the Gambero Rosso guide, was among the firsts to write about CorteBianca. His tasting notes were presented in the occasion of the launch of our ExtraBrut back in 2011. He is back on the subject on the pages of www.thespaghettijunction.it, where - together with like-minded fellows such as Alessandro Bocchetti and Giulio Bagnale - he treat the argument of Italian food and wine in an unconventional way. His judgement - three years after launch - is more than posive, as the title suggest.
