It's harvest time, at least. A year's work offers us its fruit. The most important thing is "catching" the right moment to harvest the grapes. A few days ago, here at CorteBianca, rigorously in the morning to avoid that the heat could damage the grapes, we completed the harvest of the Chardonnay, a week's earlier than the harvest of the Pinot Nero. Our forecast? Good. We succeded in taking to the canteen grapes in the just right stage of maturation. Grapes which acidity and sugar level make us hope in a transformation able to give excellent Franciacorta wines. On one side an unusual spring, that saw the alternance of cold and hot weather, gave us healthy grape. On the other side the favourable position of our wineyards, close to the hills, spared the grapes from the danage of this summer's dry weather, thanks to the usual and healthy night breeze.
From the Franciacorta hills to the coast of Tuscany. On jne 23rd, the "2012 Franciacorta Festival" will take place in the park of the awesome Villa La Versiliana in Marina di Pietrasanta (near Lucca). CorteBianca, toghether with some of the most renown vineries of Franciacorta, will be one of the protagonists of a day dedicated to music, tasting, and seminars. A true toast to summer, that will also host the final stage and award of the "2012 Best Sommelier in Tuscany - Franciacorta Award". And there is more. Not the recipe of an unusual recipe. Rather the encounter between our ExtraBrut and one of the most reputed and loved Cuisine magazines. Some time ago we havebeen asked by the photographer Adriano Brusaferri and Sale&Pepe to offer our wine and house for a piece dedicated to the unusual matching between wine and one of the most loved Italian baked specialties: the "focaccia" in its many forms. The experience, interesting and also amusing, produced not only some great shots but also another nice results: "this very dry wine, thanks to its "nonchalance" and its exemplar versatility, makes even firmer the relationship between the focaccia base and its stuffing." So, between the many matchings that works with our ExtraBrut, from now on you will not have to miss the "focaccia".
The presentation of our brand new Rosé and Satèn wines took place on May 29th at our place in CorteBianca. Among the many guests and friends, there were journalists, sommeliers, restaurateurs, experts and aficionados. The day was a great success, thanks also to the sunny weather and the informal setting. The tasting has been opened by a brief interview conducted by the "Gastronaut" Davide Paolini, who asked us about our project, our future plans and the way we intend our role as organic wine producers..
Finally the time has come. An enchanted place, in the heart of Milan and at the same time cast away from the metropolitan frenzy; two of the most prestigious brands of the Made-in- Italy excellence; the splendid set designs by Zaha Hadid and Paola Navone, stars of the international design scene; and last but not least our organic Franciacorta to accompany the launching event. The opening of “The Secret Garden” at the Botanical Gardens of Brera has been a huge success in all senses, and it has been the evidence of a mutual quest for uncompromising quality. In the hands of journalists, architects, designers and all the trendy attendees of the Milan "Fuorisalone", the glasses of CorteBianca added a note of sensorial taste to the surprising visual landscape. For CorteBianca, highly appreciated by the guests, this event has been a further confirmation of its philosophy: from the "natural" location, to the awesome and environmentally-aware settings, to the superior class of the products and designs on show, each element was in fact consistent with our choice of the highest standard of quality in organic production.

On April 16th CorteBianca will have the pleasure to offer his organic ExtraBrut in the occasion of one of the most prestigious opening parties of the Milan "Fuorisalone", the series of events that take place during the world famous Design Week. The awe-inspiring location of the Botanical Gardens of Brera will witness the encounter between Italian design and manufacturing excellence, world-class architecture and utmost attention to details and overall quality.
From the incredible handmade Murano glass chandeliers of Barovier & Toso, to the carefully hand crafted marbles of CITCO, to the imaginative and sensorial exhibition settings designed by Zaha Hadid and Paola Navone, to end up with our "precious and simple" ExtraBrut, each aspect of the event will contribute to a shared idea of elegance, class and respect for our country and its products of excellence.
CorteBianca sat very comfortably at the Stazione Leopolda, amongst other products of the highest level, such as organic flours, top-class confectionery, tasty sauces and other treats, representing the excellence of the food and wine "Made in Italy". Our "bollicine" attracted wine experts, professional "bon vivant", connoisseurs and aficionados, and many foreign visitors. We offered them our wine with great pleasure, we told our story and explained our philosophy and the way we produce our organic wine, answered both technical and general questions. Everybody appreciated both our wine as well as our brand image (the white lace and the small poetry booklet). After all, Taste is an appropriate name for this charming event, attended by people that know their tastes. And we're sure next time, with our full range of wines finally available, Taste will be even tastier.
Let's admit it. Our first encounter with our two newborn Franciacorta wines, "degorged" a few days ago, has been really exciting. The tasting experience has abundantly exceeded the expectations, in terms of roundness of taste, flavour and palatability. The two new wines will debut around april-may, yet on the homepage of our site it is already possible to appreciate how the two splendid bottles harmoniously marry with the design of the extrabrut
From the 10th to the 12th of March, CorteBianca will attend the 7th edition of Taste, the Florentine event dedicated the excellences of taste in all aspects of lifestyle.
